2016 Aug 16 – It is with Great Sadness that I announce the passing of 2nd ward councilman, mentor, friend,  and father Robert (Bob) Ritchie.

Bob was a dedicated husband and father who loved the City of Port Jervis and chose to give of himself to try and make the place he called home a little bit nicer. Bob took on many roles throughout his years on the city council and work diligently at them.

On behalf of the City Council, Department Heads, and all of our city workers we would like to “Thank” Bob and his family for the countless hours that he spent making this city a better place to live.

On a personal note, I would like to say that Bob was a gentleman and an honorable man.  We had many conversations on how to improve our little city and he worked hard to see that all of his constituents concerns were addressed.  His passing certainly leaves a huge void.

Funeral arrangements are as follows:  Viewing – 4:00pm – 7:00pm on Friday, August 19th at Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home located at 154 East Main Street; Port Jervis, NY.  Funeral Service will be at the funeral home on Saturday, August 20th at 11:00am with interment at the Oakland Valley Rural Cemetery in Cuddebackville, NY.
