On Thursday, May 7th the City of Port Jervis in cooperation with surrounding municipalities, area churches, place of worship & prayer and the synagogue took part in the National Day of Prayer at Riverside Park in the city. If you missed it, you missed an incredible night of moving prayer, music and a bit of history.
The mayors of the City of Port Jervis, Borough of Matamoras, Borough of Milford, Township of Montague as well as the Supervisor from the Town of Deerpark all participated in the event.
It is with many Thanks that each of the prayers were given by the clergy of the Tri-State area.
In addition, two outstanding young ladies from the Port Jervis High School sang our National Anthem.
A BIG THANKS goes out to Harold and Sheri Butler for organizing this event.
We all look forward to next year.
Here are a few photos from this years event.
