NY Governor declares

Posted on: January 23rd, 2016

State of Emergency Declaration for NYS to include the lower Hudson Valley (Orange, Rockland, Westchester & Putnam), NYC and Long Island.

This declaration is made ONLY in order to move state resources and assets to effected areas as needed.

ALL ROADS, BRIDGES, RAILWAYS ARE OPEN – there is currently NO travel ban in effect at this time, however…

1.) If you do not need to go outside PLEASE stay home! Roads are open but treacherous and unnecessary travel is NOT recommended. If you have to travel for any reason (including work) please drive carefully, slowly and be safe.

2.) The status of various infrastructure can change VERY quickly and with little notice. Any and all updates (for major roadways and bridges) will be posted as we verify them.

3.) There is a limited suspension of NYC services effective 12pm. Please visit the http://www.mta.info/ for more information.

More information as it develops.
