City
of Port JervisThe City of Port Jervis, under the guidance of the City’s Community Development Agency (PJCDA), is currently developing a Needs Analysis and Community Development Strategic Plan. As part of this planning initiative, an Open House Information Session will be held at the City Council Chambers on Wednesday, March 26 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Residents are encouraged to attend this information session to provide their views and opinions regarding needs in the local community. In addition, a Community Needs Public Survey will be conducted starting Friday, March 14th. Paper copies of the survey are available at the following locations:

The survey may also be completed online by accessing the City of Port Jervis website-- http://portjervisny.org--and clicking on “Port Jervis Community Needs Public Survey.” Copies of the Community Needs Public Survey will also be available and distributed at the March 26th Open House Information Session
Through the survey, residents will be asked their opinions on a variety of service concerns and human needs. Once the survey is completed, survey responses will be tallied and used to develop the goals for the Community Development Strategic Plan. Surveys are kept strictly anonymous. Residents will not be asked to provide their names, addresses, telephone numbers or any other information that would identify the person completing the survey.

2008 Oath of Office Ceremony
The 2008 Oath of Office Ceremony for Mayor Gary W. Lopriore, Members of the Common Council and Fire Department Officers will take place at the Drew United Methodist Church, 49-51 Sussex Street, on January 1st, beginning at 12:30PM. The Hon. Robert Onofry, City Court Judge, will administer the Oath of Office.
The ceremony is open to the public.
Light refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
